Week 65

This week I studied I think my new favorite chapter of the Book of Mormon.  It is Alma 24, and I learned a lot!  It’s about the Anti-Nephi-Lehites, who were firm and faithful in their testimonies that they received in earlier chapters.  In their faith they buried their weapons as covenant to the Lord that they would never shed human blood again.  It says, “19 And thus we see that, when these Lamanites were brought to believe and to know the truth, they were firm, and would suffer even unto death rather than commit sin; and thus we see that they buried their weapons of peace, or they buried the weapons of war, for peace.”  They would suffer rather than sin! That was a something so big for me, and what was bigger was that they did suffer! They died, suffered and died, in the hands of the Lamanites, but they were taken to a better place because of their faith and diligence! It is an amazing example that I need in my life!! It is important to be strong and trust in the Lord and He will help you!!

I invite all of you to read Alma 24 and apply it to your life! It is truly an amazing experience to see how the Book of Mormon is specifically for us!! I know it is true and every time I read it the testimony that I have grows stronger!
