Love Elder Wagner

(Yep that's all!  I did find out that Tanner was at president Zorbist house in arequipa, I'm assuming for a training to learn the ins and outs of being a trainer.  He will be training a new missionary fresh to the mission field.)
One of my favorite pics from his time so far in Samegua with his trainer elder Boyd.
(I know Tanner will miss elder Boyd a ton!  He said he is a friend for life and truely one of his best friends)

Week 23

(Hitching a ride)
Well i want to tell all you people that think i am just living the life here in peru.... i am haha!!! but seriously it is the hardest life out there!! it is so stressful, so tiring, so hard, a lot of talking, a lot of walking, a lot of reading, a lot of studying, a lot of heat and a lot of hardships! And i wouldn't want to do anything different with my life at this exact moment! every door slammed and every cuss word kicks us down, but only for a minute! because we get right back up and knock the next one! why am i here? why am i putting my self through these hard ships and sadness and heat? because, the joy that i have, the eternal joy that i feel; i know exactly where it is from, with out a doubt it is from this gospel, from my Savior and from serving him with all my heart might mind and strength! that is why i am here! to bring them the light and joy that i get every day!! i love sharing this gospel and i love the lessons i am learning from all the hard hard times that i am having here! the is NO other thing i would rather be doing! the peoiple here NEED what i have to share, and i won't stop until they have it! i am here to serve my Savior Jesus Christ! all he wants is our best, that's all, so thats what we are giving! our 100% best! i love this work with all my heart.
(Pasta with a red sauce, not like spaghetti.  Bib made out of tp)
Ok, about the week! well for pday last week we went to Torata and it was awesome!!! we played in the water fall and i found a cave thing that went under it and you could sit there and not get touched by the water but have the water fly over you!! it was the coolest for sure!! and that is basically all we did! played at the water falls, enjoyed the coolness of the mist and had a great time!  this week we are going to play soccer then a bonfire with the zone because it is the last one before transfer change! changes are this week..... and boyd and i feel feel like we are leaving but we dont know yet! we will see! but ya that was Pday!
(Waterfall area)
this week we have been doing a ton of service!! it was really awesome!! first we helped move our pension up too his new house and so we loaded a truck a few timeas and drove up and threw it all on the roof until they are ready to put it in their house.  it was a party and a good work out for sure!! then we went to a rescue of ours and helped her clean her house so she could come to church on time, so we swept and watered her dirt and had a good time! then we went to a house and helped them roof! they roof all there houses with bricks and stuff! we showed up and they didn't have anything for us to do so we started to build a platform and then they took over so we left.   we tried! haha then this morning at 6:30 we went and helped a family move, the are new to the ward! it was way good! we got it done fast and they fed us so that was awesome! It was a good week for service.....
(Pedro, one of their rescues and they say he is their "best friend")

i want to tell you now about some of our progressing people!
1. Mercedes: she is a recent convert and she couldnt understand hardly anything that we taught her so it was super hard cause she just couldnt comprehend what the stories meant or simple doctrine or anything...so we started just reading the book of mormon with her almost everyday and wow!!!!! she is sooooo awesome! she can now read a verse and tell us exactly what it says! she knows the difference between Mormom and Joseph Smith now and never forgets it! she is progressoing so much and doing way awesome!

2. Alcides!! alcides is the shiz.com!! he is seriously the coolest guy ever! he loves us and loves everything about the church!! his only problem is that he has meetings for work every Sunday morning and he travels to Argentina for work a lot... so we are working with him to get to church! he knows he needs to make a choice so we will see if he will make the right one!

3. Vilma: she is a street contact that we had, she is so special.. she has trouble walking cause her whole body shakes, it is so sad.. she has trouble talking too so we are starting to help her out a lot.  she showed up to church on her own, we are so glad that is she happy and hope she comes agian.

Week 22 The Hardest Thing I Ever Loved To Do

This really has been an amazing week for sure! we haveseen miracles for sure!
So for P-day last week we went to the big white Christ here in Moquegua! i have to say that statue was so cool!  It is at one of the highest parts of the city so it was awesome to see the whole city from one spot!! it was absolutly gorgeous! then we went to a museum and that was the biggest waste of a sole fifty in my life! so i would highly recommend that you DONT go there if you decide to visit Peru! it was basically a few rocks, some pretty cool dirt, and a couple dead short people! haha but hey it had some nice dirt.....
After we went and played some soccer in the ghetto part of our area! we played for a bit and boyd and i were schooling it! then all the sudden this 10 year old and 12 year old boys came and they KILLED us !!! holy crap they were soooooooo goood!!!! i was like dude you are a beast!! and i asked him where he learned to play and he was like "right here".  so those boys are examples of what you call someone who works hard for what they want! it was a really fun time and i learned some new stuff from them too!

Later in the week,  we went to ilo for a training with the president and his assistants!  The training was about the importance of the book of mormon!  It was great to hear from him and his insight on the word of God.  the book of mormon is the word of God! i know that with all my heart and i invite you all to get one and read it! it WILL change your life! i know it will!
After the training we went to pizza with all of us missionaries and that was super awesome! Then when we got back we went to talk to bishop and he took us to burgers! it was really yummy! not like america but it will do for two years haha!

Ok i am gonna tell you about some cool people that we came in contact with and had some cool experiences with this week!!

1. Nancy and her family! she is a mom of 3 kids who are all members but her and her husband are not.  we found them and started teaching them last week.   They are planning on getting married in February and want to be baptized right after!!!! so thats a huge blessing!! they are amazing! they have a 3 year old named aaron and he is glued to me everytime we are there! we just play the whole time, of course while teaching them the gospel.  he is the best, i really love that kid.

2. auria! well we showed up to a menos activos (less actives) house and she was there visiting.  so we taught her too and she COMMITTED to be baptized!!!! holy cow it was awesome!! we just got to get her to church! haha but gosh it is another blessing from my Father in Heaven!!

3. ok now my favorite from this week! Alcides, we were knocking on a door looking for a menos activo and she wasn't there but i was promted to knock the door next door and i did! a guy came to the door super happy but he was busy so he wanted us to come back! so we made an appointment and left, as we were walking away boyd said "that was straight from the spirit for you to knock that door." then two days later we came back, within two minutes in his house we were giving him a blessing for his health! he is 26 and he wants to change! then here is the cool part! He told us about a dream he had two weeks ago.....  this is how it went, "i was in my bed and i saw a dove and two Angles out side of this door" he told us this and then said "you guys are those angels!" holy cow we were like ........  wooooo......... it was the coolest thing ever! he wants to change and he knows that we can help him,  he is super humble and loves us already!! it was the most amazing thing ever!!!

Then we did service for our pension! we threw bricks for them! haha it was super fun! we had a good time with them! they are becoming like our family! its great!

Food of the Week!

Hamburgers with Bishop! hahah that was super fun and really good!

well i hope you all have a wonderful week!! i love you all from the bottom of my heart ! love you guys!

Week 21

Well, what a week! it was pretty dang solid, i have to say!! i will start with our last pday! we went to ilo to play soccer! and guess what!? we demolished!! hahaha it must be somthing about the moquegua power cause we killed it!  its pretty legit, we went there and played soccer and got shot with water guns and hungout and played around! my comp elder boyd was the player of the game in my opinion!! he was goalie and only let 2 goals in!! we scored like 6 goals and he was just tearing it up! BRICK WALL for sure haha! it was pretty sweet! and the hermanas stepped it up! they played defense and nothing got paced them and in their bare feet, it was funny! i am suprised they didn't get stepped on! i guess they were protected!  but ya ilo was super fun and the missionaries there are pretty awesome people, we get a long good! then when we got back we helped the sisters move in to their new apartment, the whole zone there so it went fast!

then new years!! well new years in peru is crazy! first of all, everyone is hammered!!! all day!!!!! and then every flippen person in peru shoots off fire works here!!! its not like american ones! they go every which way!! we were watching and there was one that went side ways and slammed into a side of a house, it was so crazy!! it didnt break anything but gosh is was scary!! but the people are all like YAAAAAA CHevere.  it was soo intense and really loud, but super cool!! kinda hard to go to sleep later cause they would randomly go off and wake us up but what ever.  then new years day we spent the day from 8 am to 8pm in the stake center reading the book of mormon!! we have this thing here where it is a 90 day reading thing that isnt the whole book of mormon but 1/4 of it, we use it for out recent converts and stuff! the pres wanted us to read all 1200 and somthing verses, so we did in one day! it was crazy  but wow, what a spiritual experience!! i am sooo grateful for the book of mormon and the testimony of the truthfulness that it holds! i know it is the word of God along with the bible and i use both everyday! Iinvite  everyone to read the book of mormon and the bible too! together they hold the fulness of the gospel of Christ!  we cant know the fullness with out one or the other! i hope you all can do that and find your own testimonies of it too!!
(may i help you???)  Boyd working the window

also i went on divisions for the first time with elder Mackay! it was way cool and i found that my spanish is alot better than i thought! i can have full conversations and say what ever i want! i have full confidence in my abilities now!! its an amazing blessing to learn this language so fast with the help from my savior!!

MILAGROS!!
Salamon, an old investigator that we stopped teaching, randomly showed up to church and wants to be taught again now!!!! hopefully he will progress this time!!!
Maria and her husband showed up to church on time and participated really really well!!! they are two new rescues for us, hopefully they will continue to strengthen themselves!
a new family moved into our ward, the kids are all member but parents not.  But they want to be baptized!!! they just need to be married and they can be baptized!!! ahhhhhh!!!!
