Week 59

We have had a great week! 

1. we hit one year in the field!! 

2. we found a bunch of new people that are AMAZING!!!!!!!! 

3. we are playing american football in the mornings and its awesome!! 

4. we had 28 lessons! 

On Thursday night the ward played soccer together, we have the opportunity to go and play with them.  This gave us the ability to find new investigators and to gain more confidence, this is where we met a young man named Wilson! we talked to him and played soccer, then asked if we could visit him and he accepted! so the next morning at 10am we went to his house to teach him and wow, what a lesson!! we taught him about the restoration of the church of Jesus Christ. it was powerful with the testimonies of both elder Nicholls and myself, but the thing that really filled the room was the first vision. We read the following to him:  

I saw a pillar of light exactly over my head, above the brightness of the sun, which descended gradually until it fell upon me. When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other—This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!

when we shared this the room was filled with the spirit and it was undeniable that it was the spirit testifying of truth.  we could see in the eyes of Wilson that he felt it the same thing and knew it was true, we explained that that feeling is the spirit of the Lord that was showing him that this is true!! he told us, "i feel something special right here," pointing to his heart! we knew that he received his answer in that moment and that he will continue progressing in his testimony of these things! 

This experience really has impacted us for our whole missions, the Spirit testifies and is our best friend and through him we can know the truth of all things! 

i love this gospel i testify that it is true!! in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

1.  Are transfers happening soon?

1. Saturday we will know who leaves and who stays!! 

3.  Did you get the package with the paper and stuff in it? 

3. ya it got here but, i wont get it until tomorrow!! thank you mommy:) 

4.  How are your investigators? Anything new, you had a long list of them last week... How is their progress? 

4. they are doing super good and are all learning and gaining a testimony that is super strong!!

5.  What are you doing today for your pday?

5. today we went to Yura, A HUGE Water fall and it was super sick!! next week i will send pícs sorry!! We got back late today and we came right here, so neither one of us have our camera cords.

Week 58

Well there is always time to find, people that is....!! This week, my comp and I have been finding a bunch of new people, new children of God to teach! Earlier this week we started thinking, why don't we just focus on these people (our current investigators) and not find new ones.  so we began the week by visiting our "same" investigators, but Heavenly Father has blessed us with finding new at the same time! We are grateful for this and it keeps us going!!!

We can all apply this to our own lives. Sometimes we get stuck in the same old routine (day in and day out) and we think it is working! but the truth is that we gotta step out of our routine or box and do new things! with those new things, we will see changes in the old and progress in the new too!!! I would like to encourge you to step out of the box and do something new with your family and have a good time! look for new things that will make your family more united because of it! not only in the family though, but in everything, work, sport etc.... my comp and i are doing new things and they are helping us a lot in the area! 

i know this church is true! i have my answer and it just keeps getting stronger each time i read and pray! i love my family, this Gospel, my Savior and my God!

1.  How was the week? Details....

1. my week was really good!  we walked a lot and found 10 new people! the work here is progressing!! 

2.  How are your investigators?  Who are they?

2. they are getting better!! Cielo, Rodrigo, their parents, elsa, richard, Franco, Victoria, Paula, Yuly, and a couple more! they are all doing good and progressing well! 

3.  What are your plans today?

3.  today we are going to play soccer on a small turf field and eat as a zone!!

Week 57

Families are together forever!!!

They are the BEST!!!:) i love you sooo much! i was thinking about you guys a ton this week and i cant be more grateful for your love and support to all of us! love you so much momma! )

This week i have thought a lot about my family and Elder Nicholls and i have talked a lot about them too.

Families are forever! That is the truth and that is the happiness that is in me! I love that knowledge!  I know that this is the true church; it is the only true church on the face of the earth! I don’t say that to offend anyone... you can have that same burning testimony in your heart,  if you get on your knees and pray to your Father in Heaven to see if these things are true! And if you already know I invite you to do it again!  To be even stronger and more devoted to your own family!  

We had a good week! Both elder Nicholls and I got sick at the end of the week though... :(   We couldn't work like normal,  but now we are doing really good, so all is well!:) Elder Nicholls and i are having a blast here for sure, we try to make sure if that!

1 the week was awesome!!! Working hard and having a ton of fun!!!

2 the pizza we had on Monday was AMAZING!!!!!

3 ya I got the package!!! Thank you soooooo much!!!! Those socks and candies were perfect!!!! I love you guys!!!

4 no I didn't buy anything… haha I didn’t want anything that bad!

5 we are going to p´lay soccer today!! It will be a blast!!

Week 56

A week of learning.

Well this week i have learned a lot about the things going on here in my area! the people are not being able to find time for us, so it is difficult to help them!  But I know, little by little we will keep progressing. The people we are teaching are progressing, but just slowly! Its all in the time of the Lord, so we will be ok.  Honestly,  the biggest problem is some people don’t think the way we think.  It's hard as Misdionaries cause we want to be like the Lord, we have to learn how to humble ourselves and admit the truth sometimes. But this never means that you should go against your own beliefs and likes, because we can’t force ourselves to love the things that we hate deep down inside.  But it is true that we can learn to accept their beliefs and their own likes, even if they are very confused. 

The truth is my comp I aren’t always on the same page… but its because we have a big problem that will be hard to get over…. .…………. he’s a 49ers fan!   I know it's One of the saddest things I have heard!  but I think with patience and lots of love we will get through this and maybe I will be able to help him out… maybe even convert him to the winning team (Seahawks!!)  hahahahahaha 

No honestly we are doing amazing as a companionship! We get along so well, we work super hard, and we are finding and help a lot of people! I love being in this area with Elder Nicholls he is a great comp and a great friend! Even though he's a 49ers fan.. hahaha that’s our joke that we have, we always tease each other about the Hawks and the 49whiners I mean 49ers! But we are working hard and together we have seen a lot of progress in the area and a ton in the zone!!! Its going really good here in Selva Alegre!

1. No I haven’t got my package yet…. But soon I would imagine!

2.  Did you have a baptism this week? 

2.  No we didn’t… we have lost contact with them… but we are going to their house everyday looking for them… so we will see!! 

3.  How are you feeling this week? 

  3. I am feeling really good! 

4.  How's the zone? 

 4. The zone is getting way better!! Working hard and doing their best! 

5.  Is Nicholls a zone leader with you? 

 5. Ya he is! Always in our mission it is a companionship of zone leaders! So its both of us!:) 

6.  What are your plans today?

6. Today we are going to the mall! Its gonna be awesome!! I'm looking for some new soccer shoes. The malls here are amazing and huge, so I'll take pics for you mom!;)  

I love you guys all so much!! Keep being awesome and be patient with the 49ers fans they need their happiness too!
