Week 85

Special spirits!!! Love them all....

well the Mauricio Gonzalez family got baptized on Sunday, just like they had planned! i have to say it was an experience of a lifetime, one that i will never forget! We started the day with the wonderful spirit of 4 clean souls willing and ready to take the reigns and move forward into the waters of baptism. Watching them make this covenant made me come to an even stronger understanding of something this week, the Atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ.  it was amazing to see these 4 children of God make the decision to not only follow Chirst and be baptized, but also to apply the Atonement to their lives.  I have see in them the power of the atonement do its work and help them repent and better their lives! Then it carroed over into our sacrament meeting, where they receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost.  It was an unforgettable experience, the Spirit was so strong and beautiful! it was even more perfect because it was Easter Sunday and we also had an opportunity to share our testimonies. It was honestly amazing, from the baptism, to taking the sacrament, where i saw why the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ gave His life for weak people like me, so that we can literally feel his love and come unto him! 

He really loves us and thats why he did it!:) so that the Mauricio family, all of you and I can feel the Joy of theAtonement in our lives! 

We also had a sweet activity as a ward, where we made a mini Jeruslem and acted like the people who had the miracles happen in their life with Jesus Christ! it was a great experience to see  and feel the spirit of the testimonies of the people who acted! it was awesome and good activity for sure !

Our buddy Alfredo Chacon... He is the Hardest working 89 year old man I know!!! Still works by hand in the fields every day!!  He is Beast mode baby!!! (Go Seahawks!)

1.yep, Muñoz got transferred to Tacna and i am going to have Elder Franco from Ecuador as a comp! 

2.  yes i got your package :) thank you soo much! it made my easter perfect! 

3.  i know thats sooo awesome! i am excited for that!! I can't wait to see bro pass! (A member of our ward will be traveling to peru for a month and will be hopefully seeing tanner) 

4.  today i am just waiting for my comp and hanging out with a couple of other elders!

Got a special message from a member in Tanner's current ward:  

I just wanted to thank you for all the effort, teachings and example that you and your husband had set in order to help Elder Wagner to obtain such strong testimony of our Savior. Your son is not only a great missionary, he is an amazing person. He has blessed many lifes already, but right now he is blessing in such a great way in our ward.  He is working really hard serving the Lord with all his heart.

In case you were worried.... We are taking care of him, so please, don't!  Also, he had the great idea to have this activity in our ward to remember the Savior's life and miracles... It was pretty awesome. 

We are hoping he stays in our ward for more than another transfer.  He is a blessing to us and I'm pretty sure you and your family and receiving many blessings because of his hard work.  Thank you 

Week 84

(This is where I live... It's beautiful)

What a week!! its been really awesome, we have had a ton of progress with our investigators!!!  we are planning on 5 baptisms this week! The Gonzalez family and Jamie.  we have been blessed with these great people who want to make covenants with God! its awesome, we are pumped!

On Tuesday I gave a training about helping our investigators put on the "armor of God"... It went great and I think the missionaries will take it to help the people they are teaching. 

This week we also got the privilege to have a training from one of the Area 70's, Elder Hugo Montoya! he is a really awesome guy! one thing that really stood out to me is, how he explained the reason we are here and what we are to do as people here on earth! as the second commandment after love God over all things, is love your neighbor like unto yourself! he taught us how we have to stop focusing on ourselves and love our neighbors! its so true cause lots of the time we are so focused on what " i " am going to do to get better, or what am "I" going to do for myself tomorrow, or what do "I" need, or what do "I" want.  But how will our day be if we say to ourselves what can "i" do to help "them " get better, or what am "i" going to do for "them" tomorrow or what does "he" need.   when we do that we will see that we get better together!! our bonds will grow stronger and we will have so much more happiness!! it was a great talk and one that i needed for sure!  i testify that it works! when we think about others rather than ourselves things are just, better! everyone feeling better and happier! Through us the people will not just feel our love but also the love of our Savior and Father in Heaven, we will be instruments in "Their" hands to help others around us feel "their" love! so give it a try! think of the people around you a bit more! thats what i am working on too and i feel the happiness flowing through me!  It really works! Service is the best way to Love your neighbor!

Week 83. 50 years!!! Dedicated to my Grandma and Papa Honroth

Do super heroes exists in this world?  are they really protecting us? are they really super strong or super fast or super cool?  the answer is..... YES of course they exist! they have super strength, super cooking abilities and super hugs! But thats not all, they even have super fishing skills, along with super sewing skills! its hard to believe, i know! when i was young i always wondered how the perfectly cooked food always got to the table or how the malts came to taste so good! Or even how our drive way was magically fixed or how a truck appeared one day in my front yard.  there was never a sports game that i didn't have a snickers and a Gatorade! i couldn't figure it out, How could these heroes do it all so well?  

    Until one day we found there secret layer... it was camouflaged in a humble american home, as we entered the front door i realized that it was much more than a humble american home.... something hit me... it was Love, the spirit of love filled our hearts, this showed us how they did it! where there super powered strength came from or how they could always get that perfect breakfast casarole made just in time! these two heroes have shown us that the power is all in selfless love.  that no one leaves with out a hug and a kiss on the cheek or that no one will be denied help at any moment! these two heroes have now had 50 years of Super progress, that just keeps getting better! they have 50 years of happy smiles and hard work, they have 50 years of happiness and they for sure have 50 full years of pure love for one another and for all those who surround them! 

Grandma and Papa you two are my heroes.  You two have always been there to spoil us and show us that selfless love that only a true hero can have.  But i know that love isn't a snickers bar, trucks and amazing chocolate Malts!  the love that you have for me is priceless, beyond this world and much more valuable than anything in this little world.  you guys have charity written on your hearts!  

YOU ARE MY HEROS!  

Heroes that can never be taken down, that will never give up. Heroes that will always be taking care of us no matter where you are! i love you guys with all my heart and i am eternally grateful for the selfless love that you two always give to me. i love you Grandma and Papa.  xoxo

1.  How was your week?? 

1. this week was a good one! the Gonzalez family are doing really good and we found another young man named Michael who is doing awesome as well! the people are progressing fast! that makes us happy! 

2.  How are your investigators? 

2. The Gonzalez family are doing great! Alonzo (the oldest) is progressing a ton and he chose to be baptized the 27th! so we are working to get the whole family there too! 

3.  When does the new president start? 3. ummm the new pres gets here in June,  i think! 

4.  What are the plans today for pday? 

4.  we are going to play basketball with a bunch of gringos that wanted to play! its gonna be awesome! we are pumped!

Week 82

Well this week was a huge turn around! prayers answered! WE FOUND  A FAMILY!!!!!!! They are the Gonzalez's,  a Mom and 4 kids! She has an 18 year old boy and a 14 year old boy and twin girls (9years old)they're the cutest! the family is super awesome! they even came to church and seemed soo happy! i have learned the secret for true happiness is.... be obedient and work hard! when we do that we find true happiness and blessings! Just like the nephites in, 

2 Nephi 5:10 And we did observe to keep the judgments, and the statutes, and the commandments of the Lord in all things, according to the law of Moses.

they were obedient and tried their best to keep the commandments and follow the rules! then they worked hard and put in the effort! 

11 And the Lord was with us; and we did prosper exceedingly; for we did sow seed, and we did reap again in abundance. And we began to raise flocks, and herds, and animals of every kind. 

they worked hard to be successful and then the outcome was;

 27 And it came to pass that we lived after the manner of happiness.

when i read this, i thought of how we need to endure to the end always.  be obedient and work hard, then we will be happy!:) the happiness doesn't just come! we got to put in the effort!  

it was a great week seeing the blessings of our work come out! now we just got to keep up that hard work! 

Today we are going to a waterfall! it will be fun!
