this week we had a sweet zone conference and it was so good, i learned a ton! we talked about our callings as Missionaries and how it is only for 2 years, after the two years we don't have the same powers and gifts that we have now! so we have to live it too the fullest! that is the truth! ya, its hard but what isnt? ya, thats right nothing is easy! so we gotta fight and fight and fight for what's right!
its a party down here in samegua!! we are working hard and walking a ton :)!!

well last pday we went with our pension and her family to a place that raises their own shrimp and makes a bunch of stuff with it! i had chupe de camaròn! it was absolutly amazing, i loved it!! it was a great time to go with them and their twins Samuel and Elias! they are the smartest, cutest 4 year olds i know!! we had a great time eating, playing, and throwing rocks in the river from a bridge! it was a blast for sure!

its been hard work but i have seen changes here in samegua! the people that never wanted to talk to me when i started here, now are coming to church! progressing and changing!! they are some of my greatest friends now!! it is amazing to be here for so long and see the change, the real change in the people, the ward and the area!! its amazing!!

Week 31 Slow.....

Well it has been kind of a long week people! But i still love BANANAS!!! haha sorry i am weird, i really do like bananas though they are yummy! but ya any way this week was long, we didnt have much success or many opportunities to help people....
on Monday, for P-Day we went and played soccer, basketball and football! it was fun! then we went too work and had some good lessons!  Tuesday we went and worked and worked and worked but again not much success.....
But on tuesday night i went with the zone leaders and stayed with them because we were going to Arequipa at 5:45 in the morning! i went with them to eat dinner and we had salchi papa (French fries and hot dogs) and then we went to their room and talked and went to bed! But then the bad started.... i couldn't sleep to well cause my back (reason for trip to Arequipa is my back) and i got up at like 3:30am because my stomatch hurt.... i sat in the bathroom for like an hour, nothing happened!!I couldn't sleep at all.... it was terrible!!
WARNING the following material is vivid and if you have a weak stomatch i would skip this next paragraph! haha (your welcome) :)
Then i woke up at like 4:30am and puked ALL of it out!! it was nasty!! After for the next two days i was on the tiolet a lot (to say the least);(  it was absolutely horrifically TERRIBLE!! imagine riding on a bus for 4 hours and having to that problem??? its not the dream ride if you know what i mean! haha sorry for being blunt, you may have wished you skipped this paragraph! Yuck.....

This week has been slow, but still good! we have been working hard! i went to Arequipa on Wednesday and Thursday. I was there for my back and i got a massage, hung out and talked to birtcher and Boyd and some other people! it was a super fun two days! i was teamed up with a guy named obispito the whole time to do what he does! he is like a taxi for the mission.   He does stuff like deliver package and things that are medical, he works for the mission and is the coolest/funniest guy ever! we had a blast running errands and driving around and going to doctors appointments! it was great! those two days were super fun!  After we got to eat at chilis!  it was yum! i got a sweet massage from a BLIND lady! ya i thought the same thing you are thinking right now, SWEET!! haha it was really weird at first the way she was staring at me.... but then i figured out she was blind and it all made sense! it felt good! i dont know if it was better than a person who isn't blind but it was good!
then we came back to Samegua and started working hard again! Alcides came back, but he wants to wait to be baptized, he doesn't feel ready.  It's ok ... and victor told us he doesn't want to be baptized now, he wants to dance and go to parties..what an excuse right?! you CAN dance and you CAN go to parties!! ahhh not a very happy time! but we have to fall some times right? just gotta keep working harder with them to make things work! with faith it is possible!

the new missionary's are cool! one is named Elder Tanner! he is from eagle Idaho and from my cousin Jordan Allens ward!!! it is crazy!! he is cool! also Bloncos new comp is from colombia! he is cool, Elder Oliveros! its fun to have some new people.   today im not sure what we are doing as a zone, but our new pension is taking us to a restaurant that he says makes the best Chupe de Camarón.  he says it's the best he's  ever had in his whole life! it is like a shrimp soup! i am so excited to try it!!! they are the coolest family! they have twins samuel and Elias and are the cutest and smartest kids i know!
(Rainbow at the end of the week... All is good!)
this week has been hard, but thats why we have the atonement of our savior Jesus Christ! we repent of our mistakes and work harder than ever to fix them!  thats what we are are doing to help the people and save the souls of Samegua!! its the life!! i love you all!

Week 30

Well this week has really been full of blessings that are amazing!!
first, our P-day was awesome!! we went and played a game where you take a bunch of pictures off a list of random stuff! it was so much fun! sadly, we used the sisters camera so i don't have any of the pics... sorry peeps! but ya it was super fun and we were like running around the city and having a blast!! haha
we have been working with a family named Saldaña and geez they are awesome! they are so much like dad and his bros! haha they are crazy and loud and sarcastic and just funny!  they all have a loving  caring side! the difference is they are all ladies, not a bunch of men, so its funny!  they are super loving and caring towards us! they are less actives and we are bringing them back!! its a blast! they feed us and take good care of us!!  so we have been teaching them lessons and they bring their friends, so we have new investigators too! It's an awesome blessing for us to have more souls to help along!
Monday we had an awesome FHE with the bishop in his house with a bunch of members! it was way good! my comp and i taught about the atonement of our savior and how with out him we could NEVER return to live with our father in heaven! The savior is our bridge to happiness! i hope you all can think of that and how you guys are using your saviors suffering, he did it all for YOU!! never forget that.... so the lesson was great, after we played Jenga with the blocks and ate, it was a fun time!

We had a sweet contacting experience when we were walking home one day.  we had 30 minutes before lunch and we made a goal to place a Book Of Mormon in 30 minutes! so we knocked and knocked and knocked and nothing.... but after 15 minutes we found Veronica! she accepted the book!! it was amazing, we did it!! but we had 15 minutes left! so i was like lets do it again!! so we knocked and knocked and knock and guess what?! we found Oscar!! he is a 19 yr old guy from the north of peru! he was so cool! So as we were writing down his name he asked, "can you guys come back and teach my family too?" hahahaha HECK YES WE CAN!! it was awesome! so we placed 2 in 30 minutes!  This is the blessings of goals and hard work! we have two new people that are searching for the truth and we were led right to them!! its really amazing!

Then for the highlight of the week, a BAPTISM! i will walk you through the day.....

6:00am we went to the church and cleaned the font cause it hasnt been used here in over a year! we got it ready for the day and filled it up!
then we went to work and counted down the hours!!  we were so excited! it was a slow day and really easy to get frustrated, but we didn't let that get to us! so we went and kept working!! we ate with the family Saldaña and then we went to get the church ready a bit more and guess what!? the font was dry!!!!!!!  EMPTY!! hahhaa it had drained, because the knob doesn't turn all the way!! so we had to refill it!  so we started late! That's not all.... Guess what color the water was?! no not clear! haha CHOCOLATE!!! it was brown!!! soo dirty!! but whatever, the baptismal water is not to clean you of dirt, its to clean you of sins!  the talks were awesome! my comp and i sang, "when i am baptized" and then i baptized her! it was an amazing feeling to see her face go under the water and then to see her come out smiling! it was such a great experience, i loved every second of it! She got to bare her testimony and wow, power!! she is an amazing women,  it was a great experience that i will never forget!!
And now the sad news.... Elder Cluff and Nicholls are gone!! they are awesome friends and a huge blessings to have started with them herein Samegua! they really are the best and the boh are going to tear it up as District leaders!!! love you guys kick butt!!!
Well today we are playing sports and getting to know the new elders that were transfered here. Oh yeah, we got a new pension and he serves a lot of fruit so it's nice to have something different.  It's great....
