Week 94

Gosh what a week of blessings! we have been working really diligently together here is the great area Granados! its super fun with elder moll! he is really funny and he is helping me become a better person! 

its really amazing how all the hard work and patience brings soo many blessings! this week we were able to have 2 baptisms! Alexander and Nilda! they are soo awesome! my comp had found them with his last comp and we kept up the great work that they were doing before! we helped them little by little make it too their goal and they did it! best of all their mom chose to be baptized also!!! that will be on the 11th ofJune ! they are a great family that know that the church is true and that Jesus Christ really atoned for their sins! i testify that this is the work of the the Lord! its soooo awesome!!  thank you all for your support and keep being awesome!

1. the week was awesome!! Full of blessings and growing!! 

2.  Baptisms? 

2. yep 2!!:) 

3.  Do you walk to everywhere in tacna?  In Arequipa I know you taxied a lot? 

3. we walk a lot more here, but also take a ton more busses! 

4.  What kind of meals have you had at your members houses for lunch? 

4. chicken, rice and potatoes! but some of the chicken here isBOMB! there is one that they cook in a china box, a box where you put the meat on the inside and then the coals on top of the cap and it cooks with the vapor! its soooo good and super tender the meat!! yummmm!!! 

5.  Isn't lunch kind of hard since most people are at work during that time? 

5. no here lunch time is sacred! haha they almost all go home for lunch! 

6.  Were you able to buy white shirts last week?  How are they?? 

6. no i couldn't find any... but its alright i will live! 

7.  Gino told me that you are going to Arequipa again this week!  That's crazy, I felt like you just went!  What is this mtg for this week? 

7. ya we have leadership counsel again! its a mtg about what to teach the other missionaries and stuff! Also going to prep for the new Pres!!! 

8.  What are your plans today? 

8. today we are going to institutes to hangout and play what we want:) 

Funny story! 

this week we washed our clothes and when we were walking back with our bag of clean clothes, we started swinging the bags like Gladiators!! haha they are really heavy so it wasn't very fast but we started a war the 2 of us! hahaha it was awesome it almost took us off our feet each time we would swing it around!!! good times with the Elder Moll!

There is a place that we found called the Cochera, or in english Garage.  it is a BBQ sandwich shop and this is like a bratwurst on really good bread with tomatoes, ketchup and mustard! its sooo good!!! 

Alexander is 21 and his sister Nilda is 15! Elder Anderson.  they are super awesome! they were a refferal that elder moll received with his other companion and we taught them and help them progress until their goal!) 

Week 93

What a week! we had a packed week of hard work and lots of blessings!!

this week we found a young man, thanks to a reference from a member! his name is Jesus, we went to his house and he happily invited us in an and started talking! it was cool to see how the spirit helped us to all click really fast, as we taught him, you could just see the light turn on in his eyes! we asked him if he had felt this before and he said no, never! we explained to him that God lives and loves him and will answer his prayers if he asks humbly with a sincere heart! he promised he would! the next day he came to church with us and he enjoyed it a lot! we went to his house in the afternoon and taught him another lesson, where he told us that he felt that he was finding the truth here with us! it was super cool! its amazing to see the spirit work with the people! HE is really the teacher, we are merely his instruments!

We are excited that this week we will be having 2 baptisms, Alexander and his sister Nilda! they are awesome!

1.  Soooo how was your week, anything fun or different 

1. we had a sweet ward activity, Minute to win it!  it was super fun! 

2.  Hopefully you remembered your cord... I want some pictures!!!

4. its going good! we found a sweet bbq sandwich shop, make a quick sandwich at home or sometimes the members give us food:) its a great ward!

5. they are doing great! working on finding more!

6. today we are going to go buy white shirts and shop around a bit:)

7. we ate a cake from a memeber and another member exploded me with a confetti bomb! haha it got all over our lunch, but it was super funny!

Week 92

City of Tacna 

Well family and friends it has been two weeks of crazy! first off, my last week in Lara was great! i love that area and i miss it a ton! but now i am here in Tacna! its a smaller city bordering chile! It's clean and has clean fresh air!  

on Monday I traveled 7 hours to get to Tacna and we went straight to work! then on Wednesday at 5 am in the morning we traveled 7 more hours back to Arequipa for a leadership conference and then went back 7 hours to tacna onThursday afternoon! it was a long 4 days..... 21 hours on a bus in 4 days! CRAZY!!! haha but i love it! :)

So, today i was studying a really good question from "preach my gospel" and i wanted to share it with you all!  

How can I help my family be happier and more united?  

as i studied Mosiah 2 i found that there are many things that i could be doing in my companionship to make us happier and more united!! it was an amazing moment of revelation and scripture power! i testify that we can be happier and more united in our families and companionships thanks to this wonderful gospel!  so i invite you all to study this chapter and find your own answer to this question!! you will be amazed at how much revelation you can receive if you just look and follow the spirit!

1. good long week! 

2.  Tell me about your new area??? 

2. the new area is in the middle of the city! it has all the stores and restaurants that you can think of! its super pretty! and a lot of good people to listen to us!:)

3.  What's the house like that you live in?

3. the house is really nice and clean! It's more calm and the owner is a really sweet lady! we get along good:) 

4.  How is your new pension? 

4. penison is just for breakfast! best breakfast ever! most healthy too, that's my highlight in food everyday!! breakfast!   lunch with different members everyday and dinner is on us!;).mostly sandwiches 

5.  New comp? 

5. new comp..... awesome!!! He is from chile, his name is Elder Moll

6.  How about the zone?  Any fun people that you connect with?

6. the zone has 18 Missionaries,  14elders and 4 sisters.  They are really good too!! Elder Searle is in the zone! he's from my original group and he is super funny!!!! 

7.  What are your plans for today?

7. Today we re going to play soccer and bbq

8.  Gino said you were going to Arequipa for a training on your birthday??? Yes? 

8. no they changed the day so we went this past week... but we got to go with them and eat lunch!:) it was awesome!:) love them! 

9.  Did you get your package? 

9. not yet... i havent gotten it.. But no worries.... I'm good :) 

Thank you for the birthday wishes!!! I can't believe I'm going to be 20 either!  thank you for all you have done for me these past 20 years:) i love you to the moon and back! no one will ever replace you! you are the best mom in the WHOLE WORLD!! I LOVE YOU:)  XOXOXOX

Week 91

Got a short email from elder Wagner today.... He has been transferred to Tacna and will be the Zone Leader.  We had such a wonderful time talking on Mother's Day!!! He is doing absolutely fabulous and is sad that his days a starting to come to and end in Peru!  He was really sad to be transferred from his current assignment where he has made many life long friends and had a great companion, but all good things must come to an end! He is excited for his next assignment and adventure in Tacna!!! The following is all I received today:   hey mom! i made it to Tacna safe and sound! my area is in the center of town and it is gorgeous! i will have to send you guys pics next week!  i love you soo much and i am so grateful for the time we had to talk yesterday! talk to you in a week!

Week 90

Our Pday last week to the waterfall. 

well my family and friends! this week has been great! its honestly been powerful!! the best day was sunday! the sacrement meeting was a power house!! the spirit was sooo strong!! there was a ton of people that we visited this week and almost all came to church! the chapel was full with the spirit! My comp and I felt it to be a huge blessing for our really hard work this week!! I love taking the sacrament each week,  it is an amazing experience to reflect and find ways to get better! i know that the church is true!! i love this gospel! 

funny story, 

this wek our convert, Sergio has been working and visiting with us all week.  It's been great, but one day as we began to knock the door of a ladies house there was a dog on the neighbors roof that lifted up its leg and peed all over Sergio! haha it was the funniest thing ever! his face was priceless!! he was covered and smelled really bad! so he took off his shirt and tie, and just wore his jacket with nothing under it all day!! hahahaa it was a great experience!! Poor kid handled it like a champ!!!
