Week 28. Rain rain go away!

well, this week honestly started out like cràp!! hahaha but you know what? God is always watching over us and he works in mysterious ways sometimes, we ended up with an Awesome week! on fire, if i do say so my self!!! i have come to realize that I have my own conversion story and it grows every day thanks to yours and moms example and the example of my savior! i know with all my heart that this gospel is the true restored gospel, i know with every fiber of my body the book of mormon is the word of God and i love that book soooooo much! i have been helped through such hard times with my father in heaven and the book of mormon.  I can testify of its truthfulness!  I encourage everyone to think about their own conversion and the journey they have taken to be truely converted. 

well first pday we went to torata with the missionaries from ilo and that was fun.  The only bad part was it was cold and the water was nasty muddy! so we didnt play in the water but we had fun taking pics and looking at the water! it rained a lot this week and when it rains here the people all seem like they aren't prapared so they have to turn all the water off cause they cant filter it fast enough!! so we didnt have water for a few days, you can use your imagination on what we did to shower! hahaha but ya so everythig was all muddy and gross but super fun! the river actually raised up over a bridge and took a car away!! its kinda sad... but seriously its like this, "Rain, CRAP RUN HOME AND DONT GO OUTSIDE AND FILL AS MANY BUCKETS OF WATER AS YOU CAN CAUSE WE ARENT GONNA HAVE WATER FOR A FEW DAYS! " hahahaah its so funny how un prepared they are but what ever if works for them! It just seems weird cause it's the same drill ever time it rains and that's a lot right now!  

then we went on divisions, i was with elder yanique and elder andrade was with elder mackay! it was super fun to be with yanique! he is from bolivia and so we talked about soccer and gospel, then went and taught some people, it was a good time! not many peole wanted to talk to us haha but its ok thats the work!  just got to try again tomorrow! not a problem!  😊. but ya then we played uno at night with cluff and blanco and that was a blast! yanique won like every time!! haha i think it was luck but he thinks it is skill!  it was a good time! 

   this week the work was good! sonia is doing soooo good!! she could have been baptized this coming satuday but she had to leave before sacrement to take her son who wet his pants home and change!  but its ok! we will be baptizing her the next saturday!! its so exciting! and then we have victor too who came to church the whole time and even to a family history activity all by him self EARLY !! holy moly thats a miracle!! he has his date for the 14th!! so we have sonia the 7th and victor the 14th!!! it is awesome to see the light in the faces in these two people! they are really changing and converting to thier savior!! i am so happy to have people to testify to and to share my own conversion and experiences with them!!! it is so happy!:) haha ahhhhhh 😃

So I have been thinking alot about charity this week! i was thinking how much it really helps if we love everyone and work hard! if we use the example of christ in our lives then we will see miracles!  i have been applying Charity and love to my life this week and my companionship and i cant tell you enough how much it has helped!! there has been a change in our time together and in samegua! i hope you all can follow the example of christ and love EVERYONE!!!

Week 27 Count your blessings!!!!

Count your many blessings name them one by one, count your many blessings see what God hath done!

Count your blessings people! you got a lot in your life i swear! just got to go find them! even if you think that life is sooooo hard, or you have a Super hard comp, just keep counting just keep counting counting counting!! haha we have a lot of little blessings in our life that we need to focus on and use to keep us going!  i invite all of you to count your MANY blessings that you have in your life!

Blessings of this week! 

First: a zone that loves and supports me! all the people in my zone are my friends that i will never forget! we have a good time all the time with them and i love being around them! 

Second: i have a president that loves me like a son and i love like a dad! i can talk to him and joke with him like my dad and he always has a answer to my questions, like my dad! he is really the best and i am so greatful to have him as a President! 

Third: Elder Birtcher! gosh he is my best friend! we went on divisions this week for a night and it was the greatest! i learned so much from him and he helped me out a lot! and it was just good to talk to a friend!

Fourth: Elder cluff and Elder blanco! they are always there to help my and support me in my hard times! i am lucky to have such good friends here in samegua!

Fifth: We have a baptismal date with hermana sonia! for the 28th of this month!! we are working really hard with her and helping her move along to gain a firm testimony! 

Sixth: a family that loves and supports me always! i couldnt do it without them! i love you guys soooo much!!! 

Seventh:  Alcides my good friend and home boy here in Samegua!

these are just some of the blessings that i am grateful for that i have received from my father in heaven! I challenge you tonight for family home evening to sit down as a family and start with a prayer, then write down all the blessings you have received as familys and individuals! i promise you all that this will bring great joy and love into your home!! i love you guys! please try this out!!

week 26 Life is a roller coaster... ain't that a fact!

(No pics from tanner this week, the computers had viruses and he didn't want to risk loosing all his pics off his camera, so i got this pic off another elders blog)  

this week has been filled with ups and downs but one thing that is great..... the ups always win!!! haha there is things that we need to build here, for example the AREA! it is really slow and we cant seem to keep investigators! but hey that doesnt stop us!! sad news... Alcides left for argentina..  he will be there for a month... he wants to be baptized when he gets back and thats good! I have faith that he will stay faithful! pray for alcides! but ya that was hard..... to say bye, because we have become such good friends! i swear we were prepared to know each other before this life! it is a huge blessing to have that knowledge and that testimony!   he will be fine! he has a super super strong testimony!! that will help him a lot and SEEYA IN A MONTH BROTHA! love that guy! 

this weeek we realized we are stuck in a routine and we need to spark things up a bit! so we (elder Andrade and myself) decided to try some new things! for example, for contacting we did it different! we sang at peoples doors, did service with out being asked, told stories and jokes!! it was super fun and it made those people feel way more comfortable with us!! this not only helped our reationship but helped our work have a flare too it! So we are going to be doing a bunch of different things like that to reach out to people!! it was awesome!! this really turned our week around!! i wasn't a robot with the script i was my self and had fun with it!!! its the best!!  

this week i got to be apart of a little play in a relief society, guess who i was?! Joseph Smith haha! it was aweesome!! we had a blast and i have to say i make a pretty good Smith! it was super fun with those ladies! 

yes we lost alcides for a bit, but we found Sonia! she is a lady that really needs our message!! she came to church and everything!! it was amazing! we decided to pray when we were contacting one day and we asked, "please put someone in our path that needs our help," and right when we finished, her door opened!!!! it was amazing!!! we are teachiog her and she is doing great!!! the power of prayer is real!!! i love this gospel and its truths and gifts!! really is a huge blessing"!!!!

Week 25

Well my beloved friends this week has been good! i now have a child!! haha that is mission terms for i am training a newbee here in the mission! his name is Elder Andrade and he is from Iquitos Peru!(it is literally the jungle) he is a hard worker which i like to see! so we are working hard and doing good with the people here!! we have really seen the people that boyd and i were working with start to progress! i feel that our work together was to help the ward and prepare the people! we are seeing some awesome changes in the menos activos and investigatores! 

     anyway this week on monday and tuesday i got to be in Arequipa, but that is when I had to say bye to boyd... it was really fast but thats mission life! i know that with elder Boyd,  i made a life long friend that i can always trust and lean on! he was an amazing companion and i wouldn't change the time we had as comps for anything! i learned so much and he helped me more than he will ever know. truly a life long best friend! he will make a huge difference in lives of many people! thank you elder Boyd! 

  in Arequipa i got to go with elder smedley and explore a bit of the awesome plaza there.  We fed the pigeons and look at all the cool shops! it was a super fun time! i got to sleep in the mission home and the president made us French toast with FAT SAUCE which is homemade syrup, soooooooo good!!! then i got my kid! elder Andrade and we went back to Samegua and got to workl!! we are seeing alot of success! it is awesome!! 

Adventures in the city of Arequipa!  This is the Plaza and had some awesome buildings!

Alcides is doing sooooo good! he is progressing so well and will be baptized the 14 of this month!  it is so awesome-! he is right on track and he loves learning! for example we finished our class early in church and he was like, wagner teach me something we have 20 minutes! so we taught him about tithing and offerings! it was awesome!! He is seriously the coolest guy i have ever met! he is going to be so blessed in this life for the decisions he is making! 

something that was brought back to my attention this week, is that there is no "maybe" in the gospel of Jesus Christ! its yes or no.  thats something you all need to know! that its true or it's not ! i know from my own experience that it is the true! i invite you all to know for yourself and pray on your knees to your father in heaven and ask him if it is the truth! even if you know, do it again! it will only strengthen your testimony!! i love you all and so does God! have a wonderful week!!! 

Funny story... At church the sisters found this lizard and screamed... We quickly grabbed it and kept it for awhile (hid it in my tie).
